Cheap Thrills

1. Herbal Essences Long Term Relationship (for split ends)
2. Aveeno Ultra Calming Facial Cleanser
3. Suave Dry Shampoo
4. Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Nail Polish

I can never seem to leave Target without picking something up to try. It's always so compelling to purchase something so when I leave with nothing in my hands, it's quite the feat. I've been using the Herbal Essences Long Term Relationship hair product and it works great for me. It does it's job-no split ends for me. I rub it into my hair while it's still damp and then blow dry.

As for the Aveeno Ultra Calming facial wash, it's amazing! It takes off all my makeup and I don't look like a raccoon afterwards. I've mentioned it a few posts back that I'm prone to breaking out and really have to put an effort into taking care of my skin. What makes it even more difficult is that I've got sensitive skin and I'm allergic to benzoyl peroxide. I chose this because it's for sensitive skin and softens it. I've used everything from soap bars, gels and now foam. I use it twice a day and can't complain since my skin's been much better.

I wash my hair once every other day and on the day that I don't, I like to use dry shampoo. I stopped using it because it got pricey since I always picked it up at a salon. I had no idea Target had it so imagine my surprise. There were other brands but I went with Suave Dry Shampoo because it was the cheapest and since I figured it's just dry shampoo, right? It's actually pretty awesome and keeps my hair smelling nice! Something fruity, like pineapples. Can't beat 3 bucks!

Lastly, more nail polish yay! I picked up this pretty minty green since I liked my lilac one so much. I'll do a review on this later during the week. Hope everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend!

What's In My Bag?

Samsung Galaxy S2 Phone
Dual Color Pen (Similar)

I've never done a "What's In My Bag" post, so I thought I'd do one for fun. I purchased this Kate Spade bag a few months ago to use as my everyday bag. I really like the neutral colors along with the chain. I finally pulled it out of its cute duster bag and began  using it. I love it because it fits everything. Well...everything minus my Macbook Pro!

Oh and yeah, I totally carry scented wipes with me wherever I go. These were given to me by a friend. The packaging is too cute!

Office Supplies

The one thing I love about Japan town is all the little knick knacks I find. I absolutely love pens, pencils and notebooks. I came across this store that sold office supplies and just had to step in. I'm not sure why I'm so drawn to these things but I think it could be because I'm obsessed keeping things organized. Everything has to be color coded, in containers, and yeah...you can see how excited and OCD I can be!

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear: Lacey Lilac Review

I've been getting a lot of sweet compliments on my nails and decided to share the color with everyone. It's Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Lacey Lilac. Ta-da! It's not even the more expensive line-it's the cheapest one. It's less than $3 bucks and you can find it at any drugstore.

I used:

It's been almost a week and I haven't had any issues with it chipping yet. I think it probably has to do with the base and top coat though. It's such a steal and a great color for the summer!

A Whole Lot of Sole

Gosh, where do I start with these shoes? I've been on a crazy shoe hunt for a while and now I can welcome these babies into my closet. I was drawn to the neutral color of the shoe and the floral tapestry pattern. The heel height might look a bit daunting...I promise they aren't. I took these out for a spin downtown and wore them more than four hours. The platform in the front makes it incredibly comfortable.

It was also my very first purchase on Modcloth! The customer service was amazing. Since I'm a half size, I chatted with a representative to determine what size I was. I wish I had taken a picture of the box it arrived in because just seeing the box excited me. (It can be noted I'm a sucker for cute packaging.) Plus I managed to snag the shoes on sale! SUPER SALE. Sadly, they're no longer available but I did find another similar pair here. It's the shoe shape, just in a different color.

All That Swag

When I think of Jay Park, I think of amazing dance skills. Perfect example? You can skip straight ahead to 1:25. Okay okay, and his dashing good looks. Guess what? He's on tour with Verizon's APAHM Tour and is coming to San Francisco this Friday. AJ Rafael and Blush will be performing as well!

I love this song and moreover, I love his style in the video. There's just something about a guy in a baseball cap and a fitted crew neck.

Instagram Fun

I'm over my non-blogging slump and started writing again. I've actually drafted things for the whole week and yes, I'm actually quite proud of myself. Some people probably think it doesn't take much to blog but it does. It takes a good amount of effort.

(Dress-Topshop, Bag-Coach, Shoes-Forever 21)

I know I'm late but I'm super addicted to Instagram! I was waiting for this app to come out to Android and now that it has, I'm all over it. It's an easy way to take fun photos when I leave my camera. Follow me on Instagram to stay updated: @arainymelody! I'm giving a fair warning that it's going to consist of lots of food...mostly sweets.

PS. I totally owe a fat thanks to Dara and Alexha for pushing me to blog again. They're awesome!

PPS. Johanna and Leslie are cool. (This part of my blog got hacked.)

A Gorgeous Day in Napa Valley

I can't believe how crazy the weather change has been. I mean, it was only a week ago that the sun was out and shining. Now it's pouring and all I want to do is go jump on puddles. I'm not one to complain about rain. In fact, I love it. Obviously if you couldn't tell already...A Rainy Melody.

Anyway I've been lagging on this because I've been trying to get myself to make a video log. And I did! So check it out along with the pictures. Oh and I probably should tell you now that the video is mostly of us going on a mini tour and messing around. I promise to actually film the tasting room next time!

I'd also like to note that since then I recently went to Napa again. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't as great but I still had a lot of fun. I think I've become addicted...the scenery is just too amazing!
